Bulldogs Win Second Outing at Home The Boys’ Track & Field team competed in their second home meet of the season this past Thursday night at the Spring Sports Complex, coming out on top of McBee and Brookland-Cayce. The Bulldogs finished first with a score of 73.5 points, followed by McBee (51.5) and Brookland-Cayce (44). In the Field Events, Chris Titus finished second in the discus event with a throw of 102’9. Titus also brought home a first place finish for Camden in the pole vault event with a jump of 8’. Lance McCray jumped his way to a third place finish in the long jump with a jump of 17’10. ZaeQuan Norris tied for first in the high jump with a jump of 5’8. In the track events, Shymeik Corbett and Jalen Johnson tied for first in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.37. Corbett also won the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.94. In the 800 meter dash, Caden Ralph brought home a first place finish for the Bulldogs with his time of 2:32. The Bulldogs’ distance team swept both the 1600 and 3200 meter events. Senior Garrett Lawson led the boys in the 1600 with a time of 5:01, followed by teammates Sam Messinides (5:13) and Pavlos Patoulas (5:22). Lawson also led the 3200 with a time of 11:08, with Messinides (11:14) and Patoulas (11:56) wrapping up second and third. Darrion Clay finished second in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:08, followed by teammate Jayden Crim (1:11), who came in third. Clay also completed the 110 high hurdles with a second place finish in a time of 17.25. The Boys 4 x 400 A Team, with team members Xavier Downing, Devin Engram, Landon Goodwin, and ZaeQwan Norris, came in second place for the Bulldogs with a time of 4:07. The Boys 4 x 800 A Team, with members Garrett Lawson, Sam Messinides, Pavlos Patuolas, and Caden Ralph, came in first with a time of 9:27. The Bulldogs’ 4 x 800 B Team, made up of team members Caleb Cahn, Hunter Grantham, Ben Watson, and Alex Boyce, brought home third place with a time of 10:33. Congratulations to all of the members of the Boys’ Track and Field Team for their win on Thursday night! The next meet for the Boys’ Track & Field Team will be on Tuesday, March 20th, in Columbia at Spring Valley High School. Please come out at 5:00 to support the Bulldogs. Go Dogs!!!
