64staffThe 1964 Camden High team earned national praise after giving up only 6 points during the entire campaign. Named as Sports Illustrated’s #1 Defensive Team in the Nation, it was the school’s 5th SC State Football Championship. Camden was led that year by head coach Wallace “Red” Lynch and assistants Clyde Jones, Johnnie Mac Goff, and Hutch Hutchinson.
