Camden High School Traditions

Nickname

Camden officially became known as the "Bulldogs" during the 1920 season. Since the beginning of CHS football in 1894, the team had been known as the "Athenians" and the "Spartans."

School Colors

The school's official colors are Gold and Black.

Mascot

The Bulldog has gone through several variations since it first made an appearance during CHS athletic events. In addition to the costumed Bulldog, the unofficial mascot of the Bulldogs is "Champ" - a real bulldog that makes appearances at all Camden High football games at Zemp Stadium. "Champ" first came to Camden High football games during the 2002 season and is named in honor of the 2001 Camden High Championship football team.

Camden Bulldog Club

The Camden Bulldog Club assists with the purchase of equipment, hosts "Meet the Bulldogs" twice each year, sponsors the athletic banquet in the spring, helps maintain facilities, and fund many other needs of our teams. Membership information can be obtained by calling the athletic department at 425-8939.
