North Central  Notes: The Knights opened 2008 with a loss to McBee at home a week ago. North Central lost several players from last season, including their quarterback, several offensive linemen, and defensive players. The Knights are a very young and scrappy team this year and are led at quarterback by Coty Putrel, a junior, and at running back by George Brown, a senior.

Camden Notes: The Bulldogs opened their season with a huge win over Hartsville 26-14. Camden’s offense accounted for over 330 yards last week against Hartsville. The Dogs offensive line was crucial to the win. The offensive linemen are Ruiz Reyes, Thorne Holliday, Jamison Johnson, Randall Carter, and Roland Matthews. Camden was forced to attempt 2-point conversions last week rather than kick extra points because the primary field goal kicker injured his leg during practice last Wednesday. The Dogs offense had no turnovers last week. And despite it being game # 1 and late August, there were no cramping or other injuries amongst Camden players. The Dogs were able to run 15 additional plays than Hartsville and controlled the ball for almost 30 minutes.
